CARE
Thank you for inviting us into your home.
COREY ASHFORD was established in the summer of 2016 by its namesake to celebrate slow, considered living. Focusing on fine details and finishes, we continue to combine timeless and minimal design to create pieces that luxuriously lift the everyday.
With a little care your pieces are designed to be used, loved and live a long life.
METAL
Our silver-toned Canelé Holders are cast in solid aluminium and hand-polished to a high shine. Changes in colour and finish are a natural material response after time and with use.
To reduce tarnishing, use a soft dry cloth to wipe the surface free of moisture, oils and particles after use.
To restore brightness, polish with an appropriate metal cleaning solution and buff clean.
Aluminium is a soft metal which can mark if bumped, knocked or scratched.

The brightness of brass can always be restored; simply polish with an appropriate metal cleaning solution, such as Brasso, and buff clean.

Hand-poured and polished to a high-shine by skilled artisans, our Brass Cocktail Coasters have been coated with a lacquer to reduce tarnishing and maintain brightness. This lacquer acts as a barrier, preventing the brass from aging.
To prolong the life of the lacquer, avoid chemicals, abrasive materials, scratches and knocks.
We recommend wiping the surface free of moisture after each use, using a soft dry cloth. To remove any dried moisture, delicately wipe with a soft cloth, free of any cleaning solutions.
Our silver-toned Cocktail Coasters have been cast in brass and plated in chrome. Chrome plating is durable and will live a long life with a little care.

Our silver pieces are cast in brass, then plated in sterling silver.
Over time and with use, plating can wear and fade. To prolong the life of plating, we recommend using a soft dry cloth to clean the surface after each use or regularly if on display. When transporting or storing, place your plated pieces in their original fabric pouch in a cool, dry place.
Avoid cleaning solutions, abrasive textures, hard knocks and scratches, as this may cause damage to the plating.

HANDMADE BY ARTISANS
Handmade in small runs, each COREY ASHFORD piece is created by skilled artisans from across the globe. Over time, we've built strong relationships with expert makers, to develop high-quality pieces that showcase the beauty of each material.
Slight variations will occur between pieces; signs of the handmade process may include surface pitting, polishing lines and surface ripples. We embrace these qualities as dissimilarities to the mass produced.
OTHER MATERIALS
Our glassware is individually mouth-blown using borosilicate glass, a high quality glass with durability and thermal shock resistance.
Glassware is dishwasher safe at all temperatures and settings when placed on the top shelf, as lightweight glassware can be moved by strong water jets. Hand wash with a soft, non-abrasive sponge.
Avoid dropping ice into an empty glass, as sharp impact may cause the glass to break. Never add ice directly from the refrigerators ice machine.
Gently light your incense stick before placing it snugly in its holder. Ensure your holder is on a stable and heat resistant surface, away from flammable objects.
Ensure ash lands on a safe, non-flammable surface to avoid markings and discolouration.
Wait until the stick has finished burining and cooled before handling and cleaning. Do not leave burning incense unattended or within reach of children, pets and away from draughts.
Burning incense creates smoke and ventilating your space after use is recommended.
Machine wash at 40c° (100°) with similar colours, avoiding harsh powdered detergents.
Line dry your pieces for best results. Tumble dry on low heat, removing pieces while still slightly damp. Be careful not to over-dry your pieces, as it can cause shrinkage and pilling.
Pieces can be safely ironed on a medium heat setting.
The edges of our frayed pieces have been subtly sewn to reduce fraying. Simply cut any additional threads you wish to remove or leave them longer to add to the wabi-sabi finish of the piece.
Hand-sculpted by artisans, our natural marble and stone pieces will live a long life with a little care.
Marble and stone is durable, though can mark or chip if scratched or knocked. Be delicae when moving, placing lids on vessels or when pacing items into bowls and dishes.
To remove dust, wipe with a clean damp cloth and dry immeidately.
Food and liquid containing oils, acids or strong pigments can cause markings or discolouration and should be avoided.
